To meet this demand, a prominent construction materials manufacturer in Kazakhstan sought to establish a new production facility capable of producing high-quality gypsum products. Our company was selected to supply the necessary equipment and technology for this project.

After thorough technical discussions and analysis of the client's requirements, we provided a comprehensive production line tailored for gypsum board and POP manufacturing. The supplied equipment included:

  • Crushing System: Designed to crush gypsum rocks into particles no larger than 5mm, ensuring optimal feed size for subsequent processing stages.
  • Grinding System: Utilizing the MTW European Type Grinding Mill, this system grinds gypsum particles to a fineness of 80-120 mesh, preparing them for calcination.
  • Calcination System: A high-efficiency calciner that heats the ground gypsum to produce high-quality POP by removing part of the water content.
  • Aging Silo: Facilitates the stabilization of calcined gypsum, ensuring consistent quality in the final products.
  • Dust Collection System: An advanced system designed to maintain a clean and safe working environment by capturing dust generated during production.
  • Heating Supply System: Provides the necessary thermal energy for the calcination process, ensuring energy efficiency and consistent product quality.

Production Process

  1. Crushing: Gypsum rocks are crushed to a maximum size of 5mm using the crushing system. Once the storage silo reaches capacity, the crusher automatically ceases operation to conserve energy.
  2. Grinding: The 5mm gypsum particles are transported to the grinding system, where the MTW European Type Grinding Mill grinds them to a fineness of 80-120 mesh. A built-in separator ensures that only particles meeting the required fineness proceed to the next stage, while coarser particles are returned for further grinding.
  3. Calcination: The finely ground gypsum is fed into the calciner, where it is heated to produce POP (CaSO4·1/2H2O) by removing part of its water content.
  4. Aging: The calcined gypsum is transferred to the aging silo, allowing it to stabilize and ensuring consistent quality in the final products.
  5. Dust Collection: Throughout the production process, the dust collection system captures and removes airborne particles, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Project Outcomes

Following the installation and commissioning of the equipment, the production line achieved stable operation, meeting the client's expectations in terms of output and product quality. The facility now produces high-quality gypsum boards and POP that comply with international standards, catering to the growing demands of Kazakhstan's construction industry. This project has significantly contributed to the local economy by reducing reliance on imported building materials and creating employment opportunities.
