Exporting Coal Gangue Processing Equipment to Kenya

Kenya's construction industry has been expanding rapidly, leading to an increased demand for building materials. To address environmental concerns and promote sustainable development, a Kenyan construction materials manufacturer sought to utilize coal gangue—a byproduct of coal mining—as a raw material for producing construction materials such as lightweight aggregates, refractory bricks, and cement. Our company was selected to supply the necessary equipment and technology for this initiative.

Equipment Supplied

After comprehensive discussions and analysis of the client's requirements, we provided a complete coal gangue processing line tailored to their needs. The supplied equipment included:

  • Crushing System: Designed to crush raw coal gangue material into particles sized 0-50mm, suitable for further processing stages.
  • Grinding System: Utilizing the grinding mill, this system grinds the crushed coal gangue to the desired fineness, preparing it for subsequent applications.
  • Classification System: An advanced classifier that separates the ground material, ensuring only particles meeting the required specifications proceed to the next stage.
  • Collection System: A dust collection system that captures fine particles, maintaining a clean working environment and collecting the finished product for storage and packaging.

Processing Stages

  1. Crushing: Raw coal gangue material is crushed to a size of 0-50mm using the crushing system. This size reduction facilitates efficient grinding and processing in subsequent stages.
  2. Grinding: The crushed coal gangue particles are transported to the grinding system, where the grinding mill grinds them to the required fineness, preparing them for use in various construction materials.
  3. Classification: The ground material is fed into the classification system, which separates particles based on size. Particles that do not meet the specified fineness are returned to the grinding mill for further processing.
  4. Collection: Fine particles that meet the required specifications are transported through a dust collection system, which separates and collects the finished product. The collected material is then stored in silos and can be packed using powder tankers or automatic packing machines for distribution.

Project Outcomes

Upon installation and commissioning of the equipment, the processing line achieved stable operation, meeting the client's expectations in terms of output and product quality. The facility now produces high-quality construction materials derived from coal gangue, contributing to environmental sustainability by utilizing industrial waste. This project has also enhanced the local economy by providing a cost-effective source of building materials and creating employment opportunities.

This collaboration successfully provided Kenya's construction industry with an innovative solution for utilizing coal gangue in the production of building materials. The project underscores our commitment to supporting sustainable development and fostering international partnerships. We look forward to future collaborations that promote environmental sustainability and economic growth in the region.
